What is Merrithew®?

In 1988, Lindsay and Moira Merrithew opened their first Pilates studio in Toronto, Canada. Sensing a growing demand for Pilates and a shortage of suppliers, President and CEO Lindsay focused on building and diversifying the business. Moira, the Executive Director of Education, certified as an instructor at a Pilates studio in New York, began training clients.

They realized that the benefits of Pilates could help people of all ages and abilities. Thus, they set out to clearly explain this method, raise awareness, and make it more accessible.

With a team of business, health, and fitness experts, they built their current business model, paying meticulous attention to every detail, from equipment to programming, at all levels.
